Job summary

Keenova in Madison, WI, is seeking a Buyer/Planner to manage end-to-end procurement and material planning for assigned commodities. You will own supplier relationships, drive material availability, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to support production requirements and cost controls.

Ideal candidates will have 3–5 years in planning/procurement, strong SAP and Excel skills, and a solid grasp of inventory management, with an emphasis on cost efficiency and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of planning, procurement, inventory, or manufacturing experience.
• Working knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Solid understanding of inventory management principles, including safety stock, reorder points, and lead time management.
• Strong Excel skills and effective vendor communication.

Responsibilities

• Translate production requirements, forecasts, MRP signals, inventory levels, lead times, and safety stock into actionable purchase orders.
• Identify potential material shortages and develop recovery plans to maintain supply continuity.
• Monitor and maintain SAP planning parameters and supplier lead times.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure material availability and support production requirements.
• Create, maintain, and manage purchase orders with accurate pricing and delivery terms.
• Monitor open purchase orders and adjust as business requirements change.
