Job summary

Prysmian is seeking a Buyer to ensure uninterrupted material availability for production. You will manage a large portfolio of raw materials, coordinate with suppliers and logistics partners, and support inventory controls across supply chain and operations.

You will create and manage purchase orders, monitor cycle counts, identify shortages, and expedite orders as needed. Proficiency in Excel and Coupa, plus collaboration with cross‑functional teams, are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree in supply chain, business or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in purchasing, procurement or supply chain.
• Experience managing inventory, POs, supplier relationships.

Responsibilities

• Manage 400+ raw material SKUs to ensure inventory levels.
• Create, maintain, and manage purchase orders for production needs.
• Communicate with suppliers and 3PLs regarding deliveries and status.
• Monitor inventory and identify shortages and risks.
• Expedite materials and reschedule orders to maintain production.
• Resolve receiving discrepancies with suppliers and internal teams.
• Conduct monthly cycle counts and support inventory accuracy initiatives.
• Maintain data using Excel and Coupa; collaborate across teams.
• Build strong supplier relationships to improve delivery performance.
• Analyze inventory trends, lead times and supplier metrics.
