Job summary

CONVERGIX Automation Solutions seeks a Senior Buyer to lead direct-material and project-based procurement for the INDL business. You will own sourcing decisions, supplier qualification, and commercial negotiations while leveraging AI-enabled tools to speed RFQs and improve due diligence and decision quality.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Project Management, Manufacturing, Quality, and Logistics to optimize delivery, cost, and risk across complex buys, ensuring alignment with project

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
• 5–8 years procurement experience in automation or engineered-to-order environments.
• Experience with ERP-based purchasing workflows and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end purchasing execution for assigned projects and suppliers.
• Lead supplier selection by integrating technical, quality and commercial factors.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, payment terms, and freight terms with suppliers.
• Drive supplier due diligence, qualification, and onboarding activities.
• Manage supplier performance for on-time delivery and quality.
• Build sourcing actions to improve delivery, reduce risk, and cut costs.
• Monitor material status and coordinate recovery plans to protect schedules.
