CONVERGIX Automation Solutions seeks a Senior Buyer to own complex direct-material and project-based procurement for the INDL business. You will source, negotiate, and manage supplier relationships with cross-functional teams including Engineering and Manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
• 5–8 years procurement experience in automation or engineered-to-order environments.
• Experience with ERP-based purchasing workflows and Excel required.
• Analytical, problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Onsite work in Bridgman, MI with light travel (<15%).
• Preference for ASCM/ISM, Lean, Six Sigma certifications.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end purchasing for projects, commodities, and suppliers.
• Lead supplier selection by integrating requirements and total landed cost.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms for materials and services.
• Perform due diligence, qualification, and onboarding with cross-functional teams.
• Manage supplier performance, on-time delivery, and quality issues.
• Develop sourcing actions to improve delivery and reduce cost.
