A growing, well-established manufacturing company is seeking a Senior Buyer to lead purchasing operations and help drive supply chain efficiency. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong technical background in procurement, manufacturing processes, and supplier management.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and evaluate suppliers based on pricing, quality, reliability, and service
Purchase raw materials, components, tools, and equipment to support production needs
Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels while reducing excess stock
Manage and maintain accurate ERP system data, including item records and vendor performance
Work closely with accounting to ensure accurate invoice processing and issue resolution
Review and update bills of material (BOMs) and ensure alignment with production requirements
Approve and implement engineering changes and documentation updates
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field (preferred)
3-5 years of experience in purchasing within a manufacturing environment
Familiarity with common manufacturing processes such as machining, molding, or assembly
Experience with ERP systems (Macola Core ERP a plus) and strong Microsoft Excel skills
