Catalent Manassas is seeking a Senior Buyer to drive site and global procurement initiatives, focusing on cost savings, supplier quality, and risk management across indirect spend. You will collaborate across functions to support new product launches and build strategic supplier relationships to meet project timelines.
The role requires a Bachelor's degree and at least five years in procurement/Supply Chain, preferably in GMP environments.
The ~70,000‑square‑foot Manassas facility operates within Catalent’s Consumer Health portfolio, supporting programs from early development through commercial manufacturing and packaging. It is designed for dietary supplement and food‑safety cGMP operations, making it distinct from Catalent’s traditional pharmaceutical and biologics manufacturing sites.
We have an opportunity for a Senior Buyer to join our team and play a key role in supporting procurement initiatives at the site and global levels. This position focuses on cost savings, supplier quality, and risk mitigation while managing indirect spend and supporting new product launches. The Senior Buyer will collaborate across functions to drive continuous improvement and build strong supplier relationships that meet the needs of the Manassas site.
Identify and support site-level and global procurement initiatives for cost savings, contract opportunities, supplier quality, and risk mitigation of single-sourced material. Participate in and support new product and program launches to influence sourcing decisions and purchase materials as needed to meet project timelines. Manage site indirect spend. Perform routine deep spend analysis to understand spend variance and find cost reduction opportunities through collaboration with Category Management. Participate in or lead cross-functional initiatives to reduce cost and improve quality for internal and external customers. Develop key supplier relationships to serve the local site’s needs. 10% global travel expectations. Other duties as assigned.
