Job Title: Senior Buyer
Contract Duration: 6 Months
Pay Range: $51.99 - $86.67/hr
Work Type: Onsite
Location: Kent, WA
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform day-to-day procurement activities supporting construction and facilities projects.
- Develop and manage strategic suppliers and contractors.
- Evaluate procurement processes for improvements.
- Collaborate with project management to select suppliers and contractors for bids and awards.
- Develop RFP/RFQ packages and evaluate responses.
- Perform price and cost analysis.
- Manage fixed price and cost contracts.
- Ensure procurement compliance and best value achievement.
- Use Costpoint and/or Coupa software for purchase and change orders.
- Ensure supplier documentation is complete; negotiate agreements as needed.
- Support other buyers with order management and schedule risk mitigation.
- Monitor supplier performance; conduct reviews and improvement plans.
- Serve as escalation point for procurement issues.
- Attend project meetings; minor travel may be required.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Skills:
- Understanding of avionics systems and components.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Teams.
- Effective independent and team work skills.
- Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Experience in cost and price analysis; knowledge of cost-type contracting.
- Ability to build trust and maintain professional relationships.
- Legal work authorization in the U.S.
Desired Experience and Education:
- Experience in construction and facilities purchasing.
- Knowledge of public procurement and FAR regulations.
- Experience with Costpoint, Coupa, and JIRA.
- Minimum 8 years in purchasing/supply chain; Bachelor's degree required.
- Certifications like APICS, CPM, CSCP preferred; Master's degree desirable.
