Senior Buyer needed for a Textile Manufacturer in Haysville, KS
Employbridge is hiring a Senior Buyer to manage purchasing and materials coordination in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You'll work closely with production, planning, and engineering to ensure materials are in stock, on time, and aligned with customer-driven production schedules This role is essential to keeping our ERP systems and supply chain running smoothly and supporting custom product manufacturing.
Salary : $65,000 - $75,000 DOE
Responsibilities :
Purchase materials including fabrics, threads, hardware, and supplies.
Use ERP software (e.g., JobBOSS or similar) to manage POs, track delivery status, and align with job timelines.
Maintain vendor relationships to secure quality and timely deliveries.
Partner daily with production and planning teams to understand material demands.
Track inventory levels and adjust purchasing to support just-in-time needs.
Expedite urgent items and resolve delivery issues quickly.
Keep accurate purchasing records for audits and internal tracking.
Recommend and support improvements to procurement workflows.
Requirements :
Minimum 5 years of experience in purchasing, preferably in a custom manufacturing or job shop setting.
Prior experience sourcing fabric or textile-related materials preferred.
Familiarity with ERP systems used in manufacturing (JobBOSS or equivalent).
Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple demands.
Strong communicator and effective problem-solver.
Works well both independently and cross-functionally.
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience with bill of materials (BOMs), work orders, and low-volume production.
Knowledge of textile manufacturing, soft goods, or upholstery.
Ability to guide and support junior team members.
