A Brief Overview

The Business Senior Systems Analyst I supports core functions of the hospital's business & financial applications to enable cost-effective, high quality, efficient, and safe patient care. This position will implement, administer, and support assigned systems under minimal guidance. It requires a thorough understanding of managing business and financial operations within a healthcare environment. The analyst independently addresses issues and makes design decisions of moderate to high complexity, delivering clear communication and documentation across the organization.

What you will do

• Provide tier-2 support for application incidents, including 24/7 on-call coverage if required.
• Assist junior team members in resolving incidents, maintenance, and enhancement requests.
• Coordinate support with other IT teams and the help desk.
• Implement changes following documented procedures.
• Mentor junior staff and document workflows.
• Act as a subject matter expert, communicating technical concepts clearly across teams.
• Participate in software upgrade initiatives and lead small to medium software installations and enhancements.
• Maintain project documentation with technical details, goals, and deliverables.
• Identify opportunities for application improvement and collaborate with vendors and analysts.
• Research and analyze issues to produce solutions, including evaluating risks and benefits.
• Facilitate team meetings and maintain records.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's Degree in related fields like Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering. Certification in relevant applications is preferred.

Experience: 5+ years of related work experience, with preference for experience in major implementations or upgrades.

Compensation
