Job summary

MasterApp Labs LLC in Richmond, VA seeks a Senior Business Systems Analyst for a contract role. You will conduct project initiation, elicit and document requirements, and collaborate with business and IS teams to deliver SDLC-compliant specifications.

You will write and execute test plans, perform manual testing of web apps, and help create user testing scripts for UAT. Strong collaboration and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in business and systems analysis, requirements documentation, SDLC, and agile development such as Scrum.
• Extensive experience defining and documenting user requirements from multiple sources for complex documents.
• Extensive experience supporting application development, maintenance, and implementation; systems analysis and design; and business process improvement.
• Experience defining and documenting business processes and mapping or developing processes in a new system.
• Experience performing testing on web applications and ensuring business needs are met.
• Experience conducting meetings and documenting project decisions.
• Ability to participate in a development team and communicate effectively.
• Familiarity with .NET projects and documenting requirements in Team Foundation Server (TFS).

Responsibilities

• Conducts project initiation to identify problems and objectives for computer applications.
• Conducts requirements elicitation and documentation for new or enhanced applications.
• Work with business and IS staff to determine needs and produce an SDLC-compliant Requirements Definition document.
• Ensure documented requirements are clear, concise, complete, and meet agency standards.
• Assist with development of processes and templates to ensure documentation is standard and reusable.
• Attend design and development scrum meetings to represent business needs and requirements.
• Write and execute system test plans to verify requirements are met.
• Perform manual testing on web applications and verify test plans.
• Create testing plans to confirm design specs are met.
• Document bugs and insufficiencies with details for developers.
• Assist with developing user testing scripts for UAT.
