Job summary

Federated Hermes is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to join our Global Technology Organization in Warrendale, PA. The role emphasizes collaboration with business, analytics, development, and QA teams to translate requirements into testable specifications and end-user documentation.

You will use SQL and tools like SS&C Technologies, PowerApps/PowerAutomate/PowerBI, SharePoint, Co-Pilot, SQL Server, Azure DevOps, and BMC Control M to support financial services software and mutual fund

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or related field, or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years of systems analysis or related experience.
Experience with at least one significant team-oriented system or business-related project.
Experience with SQL and/or other tools to exploit database technologies and information gathering.
Preferred experience with SS&C Technologies, PowerApps/PowerAutomate/PowerBI/APIs, SharePoint, Co-Pilot, SQL Server, Azure DevOps, BMC Control M.
Experience working with external vendors to coordinate requirements, manage deliverables, and support issue resolution.
Preferred experience in mutual fund or broader financial services industry.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Business, Analysts, Developers and QA Analysts to understand business needs and translate into test scenarios.
Translate business requirements into published system specifications and user stories; ensure requirements are testable.
Work with QA Analysts to develop, maintain and publish test specifications and scripts; execute test cases.
Create and maintain end-user and support documentation.
Document new work requests and estimate effort and duration for service requests and complex initiatives.
Apply SDLC knowledge with Waterfall and Agile methodologies, focusing on requirements gathering, testing, and operational changes.
Independently analyze and troubleshoot production application and data issues using available documentation and tools.
Prioritize incidents, project work, service requests, and milestones in a fast-paced environment.
