Job summary

M&T Bank is seeking a Business Systems Analyst III in Buffalo, NY. This role collaborates with business partners, product owners, engineers, and vendors to move work from discovery through design, testing, and production readiness.

Hybrid work four days onsite with one day remote, supporting deposit products and pricing ecosystems. You will document needs, map data flows, and coordinate testing, risks, and dependencies while ensuring alignment with SDLC controls and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• The candidate has 4+ years of combined higher education and/or analytics experience.
• Experience gathering, analyzing, documenting, validating, and managing requirements.
• Ability to map data flows, APIs, batch processes and system dependencies.
• Experience with test planning, execution, and release readiness.
• Strong communication for technical and nontechnical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements and analysis for enhancements, regulatory changes and fixes.
• Write and maintain business and functional requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Understand how work moves across APIs, batch jobs and vendor platforms.
• Coordinate testing, defect review and production validation.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and outside vendors on readiness.
