Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to shape the future of our Applied Chiller business.

You will lead requirements and delivery for cloud-based equipment selection platforms and act as the bridge between business and technology, owning the product backlog and guiding a cross-functional team of developers, QA, architects and tech leaders to deliver impactful outcomes. This onsite role at our Advanced Development & Engineering Center of Excellence in New Freedom,

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or a technical field, or equivalent experience; Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
5+ years of product, business systems analysis or software development lifecycle experience.
Experience with Azure DevOps or Jira.
Understanding of web and cloud applications, APIs and data integration.

Responsibilities

Lead requirements and delivery for a development team responsible for cloud-based equipment selection platforms.
Own the product backlog and influence a cross-functional team of developers, QA, architects and tech leaders.
Confer with product management, engineering, sales and field users to understand procedures, problems, data inputs/outputs and reporting needs.
Write use cases, workflow diagrams and data models that specify what the system will automate and what users will do.
Review system capabilities and constraints to judge feasibility and weigh solution options with architects/tech leads.
Validate delivered work against acceptance criteria and demo it to stakeholders.
Plan and coordinate dependencies with other teams, including Scrum teams and external resources.
Provide 2nd-level support for equipment selection tools and triage field issues to resolution.
Keep work visible and transparent through status, risks and delivery metrics.
Use AI tools to work faster, improve communication and transparency.
Collaborate with other analysts and help improve backlog standards and team processes.
