Job summary

GlobalSource IT seeks a Senior Business Systems Analyst to own critical manufacturing finance SAP applications during a global ECC to S/4HANA migration. You will partner with Finance to analyze processes, gather requirements, and design SAP solutions across a global SAP environment.

Responsibilities include designing, testing, implementing enhancements, writing functional specs, and leading end-user training. Ideal candidates have extensive SAP Finance experience and strong stakeholder skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 6–8+ years in SAP Business Systems/Functional Analyst roles.
• Deep SAP ECC experience with exposure to SAP S/4HANA and manufacturing finance.
• Experience in cost accounting, product costing, CO-PA, and related finance processes.
• Strong requirements gathering, specs writing, testing, and training abilities.
• Proven ability to partner with controllers, cost accountants, and leadership.

Summary

Our client is looking for a Senior Business Systems Analyst to become the long‑term application owner for critical manufacturing finance applications supporting a global SAP environment. This is a key role within a major business transformation initiative as the organization continues its migration from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Finance stakeholders to analyze business processes, gather requirements, and develop functional SAP solutions.
• Design, test, implement, and support enhancements that improve manufacturing finance processes.
• Develop functional specifications and reporting requirements.
• Create and execute test plans, perform unit testing, coordinate integration testing, and support user acceptance testing.
• Support SAP ECC applications while helping drive the organization’s transition to SAP S/4HANA.
• Become the functional owner of Manufacturing Finance applications over time.
• Support critical production issues, troubleshoot root causes, and implement long‑term solutions.
• Maintain process documentation, functional specifications, and business process flows.
• Deliver end‑user training and promote best practices across the Finance organization.
• Partner with global IT teams to ensure application stability and continuous improvement.
• Build strong relationships with controllers, cost accountants, and Finance leadership.
• Serve as the primary IT partner for Manufacturing Finance applications.
• Participate in technology roadmap planning and business process improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects, Enterprise Architecture, and IT Leadership to align technology solutions with business objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and approximately 6–8+ years of SAP Business Systems Analyst or Functional Analyst experience.
• Strong experience supporting SAP ECC with exposure to SAP S/4HANA.
• Functional knowledge of manufacturing finance processes, including Cost Center Accounting, Product Costing, Production Accounting, Inventory Accounting, Material Ledger, Profit Center Accounting, and Profitability Analysis (CO‑PA).
• Understanding of the "nuts and bolts" of manufacturing cost accounting and controlling.
• Experience gathering business requirements, writing functional specifications, testing, documentation, and user training.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with the ability to work closely with controllers, cost accountants, and business leadership.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with a desire to continue learning and expanding technical expertise.
• Experience supporting manufacturing environments and SAP Finance applications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA migrations or transformation initiatives.
• Exposure to AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot or similar technologies.
• Experience working within global SAP environments.
