Job summary

State of Minnesota is seeking a Senior Business Project & Change Manager to lead complex initiatives within the Revenue Department. This role focuses on improving business processes, implementing new legislation, and guiding teams through organizational change in a hybrid work environment.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of experience leading cross‑functional projects, partnering with business and technology teams, and coaching teams in change management practices.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of professional experience leading complex projects, programs, business improvement efforts, or organizational initiatives.
• Experience leading work across multiple teams, stakeholders, or areas of an organization.
• Experience providing leadership, guidance, coaching, or direction to project teams or cross‑functional groups.
• Experience leading projects that implement legislative requirements, policy changes, business process improvements, or new technology solutions.
• Experience partnering with both business and technology teams to deliver project outcomes.
• Experience leading organizational change management efforts or supporting teams through significant process, system, or organizational changes.
• Prosci or equivalent organizational change management certification or formal training.
• Experience establishing or improving project management, change management, or continuous improvement practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex initiatives that improve business processes, implement new legislation, and help teams successfully navigate change.
• Partner with leaders, business experts, technology teams, and external partners to plan and deliver projects, facilitate decision‑making, manage risks, and drive toward outcomes.
• Strengthen project management and organizational change management practices across the agency by coaching teams and developing standards and tools.
