Job summary

Chenega Services & Federal Solutions, LLC is seeking a Senior Business Process Engineer to support the FHFA by analyzing and improving mission-critical processes. You will lead workshops, map as-is and to-be processes, and translate requirements for government stakeholders and technical teams.

This role emphasizes data-driven improvements, enterprise-wide impact, and adherence to federal guidelines with opportunities for leadership collaboration within the Chenega family.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, management, information systems, public administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in business process engineering or related field.
  • Experience supporting federal government programs or mission environments.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional improvement initiatives from assessment through implementation.
  • Experience with process-mapping and analysis tools such as Visio or Lucidchart.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end assessments of complex business processes, workflows, policies, and operating models.
  • Facilitate stakeholder interviews, workshops, and working sessions to document current-state processes and identify opportunities.
  • Develop future-state process designs, SOPs, process maps, and implementation roadmaps.
  • Apply data-driven analysis to quantify performance, identify root causes, and propose improvements.
  • Lead continuous-improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, or similar methodologies.
  • Define KPIs, service-level metrics, and reporting to monitor outcomes.
  • Translate business needs into actionable requirements with stakeholders and tech teams.
  • Support change-management activities including communications and training materials.
  • Prepare executive briefings, decision papers, and status reports.
  • Ensure work products align with federal policies, contractual requirements, and security standards.

This role will work closely with government stakeholders, program leadership, and technical teams to identify operational inefficiencies, design future‑state processes, lead improvement initiatives, and implement measurable solutions aligned with federal requirements and organizational priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Apply data‑driven analysis to quantify process performance, identify root causes, and recommend practical, sustainable improvements.
  • Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, and other process‑improvement methodologies.
  • Define performance measures, key performance indicators, service‑level metrics, and reporting mechanisms to monitor outcomes.
  • Partner with program managers, subject‑matter experts, business owners, and technology teams to translate business needs into actionable requirements.
  • Support change‑management activities, including stakeholder communications, training materials, adoption planning, and transition support.
  • Prepare clear, executive‑ready briefings, decision papers, status reports, and recommendations.
  • Ensure work products align with applicable federal policies, contractual requirements, governance processes, and security standards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, management, information systems, public administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in business process engineering, process improvement, management consulting, operations analysis, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting federal government programs, agencies, or mission environments.
  • Proven ability to analyze complex processes and lead cross‑functional improvement initiatives from assessment through implementation.
  • Strong experience with process‑mapping and analysis tools, such as Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart, or equivalent platforms.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with senior government leaders, technical personnel, and diverse stakeholder groups.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, or Master Black Belt certification.
  • Agile certification, such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), PMI-ACP, SAFe, or equivalent.
  • Lean, Lean Six Sigma, Business Process Management, or change‑management certification.
  • Experience with federal performance management, governance, modernization, or digital‑transformation initiatives.
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
