Job summary

Chenega Services & Federal Solutions, LLC is seeking a seasoned Senior Business Process Engineer to support FHFA in analyzing, improving, and sustaining mission-critical processes. You will work with government stakeholders, leadership, and technical teams to design future-state processes and implement measurable improvements in line with federal requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years in business process engineering or related work.
  • Experience supporting federal government programs.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional improvement initiatives from assessment through implementation.
  • Strong process-mapping using Visio or Lucidchart.
  • Excellent written, verbal, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work with senior government leaders and diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end assessments of complex business processes, workflows, policies, and operating models.
  • Facilitate stakeholder interviews, workshops, and working sessions to document current-state processes and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Develop future-state process designs, SOPs, process maps, value-stream maps, and implementation roadmaps.
  • Apply data-driven analysis to quantify process performance, identify root causes, and recommend practical improvements.
  • Lead continuous-improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, and other methodologies.
  • Define performance measures, KPIs, SLAs, and reporting mechanisms to monitor outcomes.
  • Partner with program managers, subject-matter experts, business owners, and technology teams to translate needs into requirements.
  • Support change-management activities, including communications, training materials, adoption planning, and transition support.
  • Prepare executive-ready briefings, decision papers, status reports, and recommendations.
  • Ensure work products align with federal policies, contractual requirements, governance processes, and security standards.

  • Support change-management activities, including stakeholder communications, training materials, adoption planning, and transition support.
  • Prepare clear, executive-ready briefings, decision papers, status reports, and recommendations.
  • Ensure work products align with applicable federal policies, contractual requirements, governance processes, and security standards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, management, information systems, public administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in business process engineering, process improvement, management consulting, operations analysis, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting federal government programs, agencies, or mission environments.
  • Proven ability to analyze complex processes and lead cross-functional improvement initiatives from assessment through implementation.
  • Strong experience with process-mapping and analysis tools, such as Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart, or equivalent platforms.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with senior government leaders, technical personnel, and diverse stakeholder groups.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, or Master Black Belt certification.
  • Agile certification, such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), PMI-ACP, SAFe, or equivalent.
  • Lean, Lean Six Sigma, Business Process Management, or change-management certification.
  • Experience with federal performance management, governance, modernization, or digital-transformation initiatives.
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
