Job summary

Pilot is building a first-of-its-kind hybrid software/service to modernize back-office finance for founders and SMBs. This role resides at the heart of planning, allocation, forecasting, and how we automate work, with direct collaboration to senior leadership.

You’ll own systems and models, drive data-driven decisions, and push for scalable processes that adapt as the business grows. Hybrid work in Nashville or SF with strong compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years in business operations, analytics, or finance.
• Expert-level Excel/Sheets (formulas, modeling, automation/scripting).
• Experience owning forecasting, billing, or resource planning is a strong plus.
• Strong communication with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Own work orchestration systems and models to plan and allocate work.
• Develop KPI reporting for real-time leadership visibility and anomaly detection.
• Build forecasting models for staffing and capacity needs and translate into actions.
• Ensure billing sheet accuracy and efficient billing processes at scale.
• Identify opportunities to automate with AI and implement practical solutions.
• Lead end-to-end process improvements and drive cross-functional change.
