Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a highly effective and dynamic Business-Line Risk Manager to lead Corporate Functions risk oversight for Performing Operations within Consumer & Business Banking Operations (CBBO).

This role partners across the three lines of defense to drive consistent risk management practices, influence decisions, and strengthen the control environment. Responsibilities include risk assessments, governance reporting, and partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure early risk

Qualifications

• Typically more than six years of applicable experience.
• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience.
• Strong knowledge of risk/compliance/audit competencies.
• Excellent analytical and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary risk advisor for assigned CBBO Performing Operations unit.
• Build relationships with business leaders to identify risks early and influence decisions.
• Support risk assessments, control evaluation, and ongoing monitoring activities.
• Contribute to risk governance routines and reporting on key risk themes.
• Provide risk guidance on transformation efforts and new initiatives.
• Collaborate with Audit, Compliance, and Risk partners to drive strong outcomes.
