Vagaro is seeking a Business Intelligence Manager in Pleasanton, CA to lead analytics initiatives and collaborate with executives to enable data-driven decisions. You will steer a small BI team and work with cross-functional groups to refine data assets and models.

You will design analytic frameworks, build marketing models, and present insights monthly to product owners. This role emphasizes data governance, tooling, and strategic thinking for value creation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in analytical/research environment
• 3+ years in consumer marketing analytics
• Supervisory experience preferred
• MBA or related degree or equivalent work experience in CS/Statistics/Math/Marketing

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 3-5 BI analysts and oversee day-to-day tasks
• Collect and refine data from multiple business teams for analysis
• Build and share monthly insights with product owners
• Perform deep-dive analyses and ad-hoc analyses for stakeholders

What you'll Be Doing:

As the Business Intelligence Manager, you will work closely with cross-functional, technical and business teams including executives to build financial and management analytics capabilities to enable data-driven decision making for the business. You will be consistently evaluating the status quo, proposing and advocating for new ways to increase value to business.

*This role is based onsite in Pleasanton, CA Monday through Friday*

Compensation

• Base Annual Salary: $170,000 to $200,000
• Annual Bonus: Up to 10%

Your Impact:

• Manage a team of 3-5 business intelligence analysts, mentoring and directing day-to-day responsibilities
• Collect and refine data from business teams to use in analytical analysis
• Utilize data to run internal marketing models on a monthly basis and share monthly insights with product owners
• Run deep dive and ad-hoc analyses for product owners on as-needed basis
• Drive omni channel strategy through holistic, cross-channel analyses
• Drive data and modeling technological advancements to improve level and efficiency of analyses as well as hygiene
• Determine the best method to gather, model, manipulate and present data. Gather business requirements and translate business questions into requirements and deliverables
• Maintain reliability through attending scheduled shifts.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you Bring:

• 5+ years of experience working in an analytical/research environment
• 3+ years of experience using statistical methods for analysis
• 3+ years of experience in consumer marketing analytics
• Prior supervisory experience preferred
• A college degree (MBA or Master’s preferred) or equivalent work experience in Computer Science or related discipline such as Statistics, Mathematics, Marketing, etc
• Experience preparing data foundations for AI and self-service analytics, including governed semantic models, natural-language query tools, and AI-ready data products.
• Experience working with business teams to identify and define problems
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong strategic thinking skills
• Ability to clearly deliver insights and findings
• Ability to integrate multiple data sources into a single narrative
• Experience using descriptive and inferential statistics to analyze and present findings
• Ability to write, present and communicate research results to teams
• Experience using at least one programming language to move and parse data sets
• Prior experience using data analysis tools required (SPSS, SAS, etc.)
• Prior experience using business intelligence tools
• Prior experience using data visualization tools preferred (Tableau, Power BI, etc.) their idiosyncrasies’ and common workarounds
• Experience in Elasticsearch and Kibana
