Base pay range
$115,175.00/yr - $135,500.00/yr
The offered salary will be determined by a variety of factors including an applicant’s education, years of experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.

Job Overview
Under general guidance, will be responsible for leading the design, development, and maintenance of the business intelligence (BI) platform implementation, semantic modeling, analytics, reporting, and dashboarding capabilities. This professional will work in collaboration with the appropriate data architects, data engineers, and business stakeholders to analyze, design, develop, test, and support enterprise-level BI solutions.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities
- Leads the design and development of BI platform implementation, semantic modeling, analytics reporting, and dashboard capabilities.
- Leads the design build and management of BI models, reports, dashboards, and published apps including Power BI Report Builder for paginated reports.
- Manages tenants and capacity, tenant settings, gateways, workspaces, and security (such as role- based access control (RBAC) and row-level security (RLS)).
- Manages BI deployment pipeline/CI/CD process within Azure Dev Ops and GIT. Including approving pull requests between workspace environments and approving user acceptance testing outcomes after determining completion of user acceptance testing activities.
- Oversees enterprise-level dashboard design utilizing best practices for dataset governance and report file management system.
- Works closely with the manager, data analytics, reporting, and quality to develop BI report governance process, procedures, and auditing.
- Manages and mentors a team of BI report developers in developing new reports, enhancing and maintaining existing reports, and creating and maintaining documentation for enterprise BI solutions.
- Collaborates with training lead to develop BI training programs.
- Continuously stays abreast of industry best practices.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
Supervises, directs, and evaluates assigned staff member(s). Supervisory functions include: making hiring and termination decisions; prioritizing assignments and directing work; developing and overseeing employee work schedules and approving time away from work; providing and/or facilitating employee training and development; approving/processing employee concerns and problems and counseling or disciplining as appropriate; completing employee performance appraisals; determining or making recommendations regarding new hire salaries and salary changes; and acting as the liaison between employees and management.
QUALIFICATIONS Minimum
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related scientific or technical discipline.
- Five years’ experience performing duties similar to those listed.
- Three years’ experience with Microsoft Azure database platform, including Azure Data Lake, Data Factory, and SQL.
- Three years’ experience with Microsoft Power BI applications, Embedded Power BI, and third-party external tools such as Tabular Editor and DAX Studio as well as with Power BI Desktop, Power BI service; experience in DAX functions and Power BI modeling.
- Three years’ experience creating user documentation and providing user training.
- Three years’ experience defining and designing dimensional models.
- Three years’ experience with enterprise integration, advanced analytics, and data models that support a federated architecture.
- Three years’ experience with system design and integration tasks, comprising design and implementation of major systems, integration of systems elements, and related support systems.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILL SETS, AND ABILITIES
- Demonstrated proficiency with a variety of Microsoft application development and database management tools.
- Knowledge of data warehouse principles and practices, as well as ETL solutions.
- Knowledge of BI tools and technology in addition to Power BI.
- Strong SQL and data extraction skills.
- Agility with additional programming languages such as Python and Scala.
- Demonstrated commitment to and compliance with the organization’s policies and procedures.
- Results-oriented focus; able to work independently and take initiative.
- Ability to implement projects and adhere to established timelines; must be able to work with various staff members and departments to complete projects.
- Comfort with ambiguity, variability, and change in business requirements.
- Ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and appropriately for the intended purpose and audience.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/CONDITIONS
- This position is based in a typical office environment with no specific or unusual physical or environmental demands.
- Most of the work performed is normally done in the ACGME office and/or a home office with the typical physical demands of an office environment.
