CIP P.C. is a nationally recognized immigration law firm with a remote-first team across the United States. We are adding a Senior Business Immigration Attorney to support our enterprise clients in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

The role requires extensive experience with high-volume NIV and IV matters, including PERM, I-140, I-485, and visa matters. You will review casework, provide strategic counsel, and mentor paralegals to ensure accuracy and quality of filings.

Qualifications

  • JD required and bar admission to practice
  • Experience with high-volume NIV/IV cases including PERM, I-140, AOS, H-1B, L-1, TN, E visas
  • Strong legal research and writing skills
  • Ability to manage client relationships and provide strategic counsel
  • Proven track record of meeting service level expectations

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and file cases for acceptance and approval including H-1B, I-140, I-485
  • Perform client management and consult for Small Business potential clients
  • Provide support to Managing Attorney on Enterprise clients and mentor team members
  • May liaise with other attorneys or departments on projects
  • Assist with maintenance of casework quality and consistency on the assigned team
  • Evaluate cases and provide strategies/solutions
  • Provide coverage for attorneys on vacation
  • Mentor paralegals and supervise staff as needed
  • Stay updated on law and policy changes
  • Perform legal research and prepare memoranda/briefs
  • Analyze facts and complex issues to provide sound legal advice
  • Prepare filings for complex case management
  • Build strong client relationships and maintain professional conduct
  • Other duties as assigned

The purpose of the Senior Business Immigration Attorney at CIP, P.C., is to assist the assigned team in the review and filing of immigration casework. In this role, the Senior Business Immigration Attorney will closely liaise with client contacts, provide strategic legal counsel, and help manage immigration programs. In-depth experience with high volume employment-based NIV and IV immigration cases, including PERM, I-140, AOS, H-1B, L-1, TN, and E visa matters is required within this role. It also requires legal research and preparation of complex written projects for immigration cases as well as reviewing work of Paralegals, to ensure accuracy and quality.

What you’ll do:
  • Prepare and file cases for acceptance and approval including at least H-1B, I-140, I-485, and client-relevant NIV/IV
  • Perform client management and consult for Small Business potential clients, while also guiding clients through processes
  • Provide support to Managing Attorney on Enterprise clients as well as provide support and leadership to assigned team(s)
  • May liaise with other attorneys or departments in the firm on projects
  • Assistwith maintenance of casework quality and consistency on the assigned team(s)
  • Evaluate cases andassistin providing case strategies and/or solutions to issues
  • Provide coverage for attorneys on vacation and leave of absence
  • Work closely with and mentor paralegals; May provide supervision of other employees, asrequired
  • Supplement andmaintainknowledge of law and policy changes
  • Perform legal research and prepare legal memoranda and/or legal briefs
  • Analyze facts, patterns, and complex legal issues toprovidesound legal advice
  • Prepare immigration-based filings for complex case management
  • Gain rapport and foster strong relationships in a professional, proactive, considerate, and accountable way with clients, colleagues.
  • Other duties as assigned
What you bring:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree
  • Admittance to the State Bar
  • 4-7 years of related experience
  • 3+ years of experience/proficiency level with PERM,H-1B, L-1,TNand E visas
  • Track recordof consistently meeting SLEs (Service Level Expectations)
  • Proficiencyin Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools
  • Fluency of the English language in both written and verbal forms; Bilingual a plus, but notrequired
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on delivering exceptional client service
  • Youexhibitexcellent written and verbal English communication skills, including spelling and grammar
  • Sharp eye for attention to detail to ensure consistent accuracy of work
  • Youpossessan exceptional ability to analyze data and cases
  • Ability to work harmoniously and effectively with others as part of a team
  • Excellent organizational skills andare able tomeet strict deadlines
  • You are tech savvy andpossessstrong computer literacy with the ability to adapt tostate-of-the-artEnvoy Global case processing software
  • Contribute to positive team morale, even within a remote work environment

  • Ability to troubleshoot and strategize for solution options and recommendations
