Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Development Manager to support our Cell Therapy, CDMO business unit remotely in the U.S.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Handle inbound client calls and emails, qualify leads, and respond promptly to potential clients.
  2. Develop and qualify account leads through territory prospecting and regular outbound virtual contact (phone, video, etc.).
  3. Lead sales efforts in your territory, utilizing technical and scientific skills to attract customers.
    • Collect and organize data on potential customers within your designated region.
  4. Communicate Charles River products and services, informing customers of new offerings.
  5. Collaborate with marketing to design and implement marketing tools and programs supporting company goals.
  6. Qualify prospective opportunities, identify the drug development business model, and communicate the value proposition effectively.
  7. Develop a territory management plan targeting opportunities, new accounts, and account expansion, including competitor analysis.
  8. Build and maintain customer relationships to promote product and service acceptance.
  9. Coordinate with internal specialists to develop sales strategies and close opportunities.
  10. Support global account management by presenting capabilities, qualifying leads, and providing scientific support during calls, visits, and trade shows.
  11. Present product lines and share portfolio opportunities internally and externally.
  12. Gather market trend data, competitive product information, and pricing details.
  13. Address customer concerns with relevant departments for quality resolution.
  14. Participate in national and international trade shows, assist in event coordination.
  15. Attend sales meetings and complete all sales documentation and training punctually.
  16. Use CRM systems to record customer interactions and generate reports on sales initiatives.
  17. Assist with customer projects as needed and ensure a safe working environment by following safety procedures.
  18. Participate in overtime as required for role success.
Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline; or equivalent experience.
  • Three to five years of scientific sales experience, preferably in cell therapy manufacturing.
  • Alternative: 5+ years of sales experience without a bachelor’s degree.
Compensation Data

The pay range is $107K - $120K USD, varying based on experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
