We’re looking for a strategic Senior Business Development Manager to drive growth within an innovative electronic components business serving the aerospace, defense, and space industries.
This role is focused on identifying and developing new business opportunities, building relationships with key customers and industry partners, and helping expand the company’s presence across commercial, government, defense, and international markets.
You’ll work with high-reliability electronic components used in mission-critical applications across space exploration, satellite communications, defense systems, and more.
What You’ll Do
- Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities across aerospace, defense, space, government, and commercial markets.
- Build and maintain relationships with OEMs, prime contractors, government organizations, and other key industry partners.
- Develop strategic account plans targeting spacecraft, launch vehicle, satellite, and subsystem manufacturers.
- Lead or support capture strategies, proposals, negotiations, and other activities related to high-value opportunities.
- Partner cross-functionally with engineering, program management, quality, marketing, and finance teams to align solutions with customer needs.
- Monitor market trends, program funding, acquisition strategies, contracting activity, and competitive developments to identify new opportunities.
- Represent the company at customer meetings, trade shows, conferences, and industry events.
- Provide customer and market insights to help inform business development and long-term growth strategies.
- Maintain accurate visibility into sales opportunities, pipeline development, and business development activity.
- Travel domestically and internationally as needed.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or program capture within aerospace, defense, electronics, or a related technology industry.
- Strong knowledge of EEE components, including integrated circuits, diodes, transistors, connectors, and other electronic components.
- Proven success developing customer relationships, managing complex sales cycles, and closing high-value opportunities.
- Established relationships with aerospace, defense, space, OEM, prime contractor, or government customers strongly preferred.
- Understanding of DoD procurement processes, government contracting, and international export regulations, including ITAR and EAR.
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field.
- Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
