Business Unit WeiXin Group (WXG) is responsible for the construction and operation of the Weixin ecosystem and leveraging Weixin's open platforms such as Official Accounts, Mini Programs, Weixin Pay, WeCom and search function. WXG provides solutions and connectivity for intelligent upgrades across all industries. WXG is also responsible for the development and operation of QQ Mail, WeRead and other products.

What the Role Entails: About WeChat Pay – WeChat Pay is a mobile payment and digital wallet service integrated within the WeChat app, launched by Tencent in 2013. It allows users to make secure payments via QR codes, transfer money, pay bills, and shop online. WeChat Pay is looking to expand internationally to create a larger network of merchants and convenience for WeChat users globally. With over 1.3 billion users worldwide, WeChat is changing the mobile landscape by connecting people, services, and businesses by offering a seamless experience within the WeChat ecosystem, providing a convenient way to handle both everyday transactions and larger purchases.

Responsibilities

• Promote the launch of WeChat Pay with local overseas merchants.
• Integrate and coordinate internal and external resources, develop offline institutional service providers, and continuously increase the market share of Tencent payment.
• Develop innovative cooperation, export industry solutions, set benchmarks, and enhance Tencent payment abroad market influence.

Who We Look For

• Education: Bachelor's degree or above in Business, Finance, International Relations, or related fields.
• Experience: Minimum of 7 years' experience in business development, partnerships, or payments, ideally in fintech, e-commerce, or cross-border trade.
• Commercial Acumen: Proven ability in high-level business negotiations, strategic planning, and contract execution with institutional partners.
• Domain Knowledge: Deep familiarity with payment systems (card schemes, wallets, PSPs), and strong understanding of local regulatory and commercial landscapes in overseas markets.
• Product & Ops Understanding: Demonstrated capability in product integration, operational delivery, and insight into scalable business models.
• Language: Full professional fluency in Italian, English and Mandarin is required to coordinate with global partners and stakeholders based in HQ (Shenzhen/China).
