Job summary

Huntington National Bank seeks an experienced Business Banking Underwriter IV to assess creditworthiness on complex business loans while adhering to lending policy. You will manage a robust pipeline, apply authority up to $4MM, and support risk and training initiatives.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree with 7+ years in underwriting in a centralized lending setting, demonstrate leadership potential, and communicate effectively across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 7+ years of business or commercial underwriting experience.
• Experience in a centralized lending environment.
• Ability to underwrite credits up to $10MM.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an individual pipeline of work to support Business Banking production.
• Review financial and credit information to make sound credit decisions on complex loans up to $10MM.
• Utilize single approval authority up to $4MM.
• Assess borrower risk profiles.
• Mentor and train new hires and support UW levels.
• Collaborate with credit and segment risk to meet department goals.
• Provide backup for manager during meetings.
• Represent manager outside of the function when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
