Job summary

The Huntington National Bank is seeking a Senior Underwriter III for Business Banking to assess creditworthiness and ensure compliance with lending policies for structured commercial loans.

You will manage an active pipeline, analyze financial data, and apply decision authority up to $3MM while mentoring junior staff and supporting the UW teams. The role requires a bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in centralized underwriting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5+ years’ experience with business or commercial underwriting in a centralized lending environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an individual pipeline of work to support Business Banking production.
• Review financial and credit information to make sound credit decisions on loans up to $4MM.
• Utilize single approval authority up to $3MM.
• Assess borrower risk profiles and ensure policy compliance.
• Assist with training and mentoring new hires and UW II/UWI teams.
• Perform other duties to support the line of business.
