Qualifications

• 8 years of experience eliciting requirements through customer/stakeholder interviews and developing well-written system requirements.
• 8 years of experience working with Software Development Life Cycles (SDLCs).
• 8 years of experience in business process re-engineering and improving software process flows.
• 8 years of experience developing user stories and use cases in accordance with business analysis best practices.
• 8 years of experience designing mockups and/or wireframes following UX best practices.
• 5 years of demonstrated strong communication and facilitation skills.
• 5 years of demonstrated strong writing and organizational skills.
• 4 years of documented experience working with a state/federal/local education agency or an education-sector vendor.
• 2 years of documented experience using Atlassian Jira.
• 2 years of documented experience with requirements management software such as Modern Requirements.

Responsibilities

• Analyze user needs, business processes, pain points, and existing system capabilities to identify opportunities for system improvements and automation.
• Elicit requirements through interviews, Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions, document analysis, surveys, use cases, competitive product analysis, and workflow analysis.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, product owners, and development teams.
• Translate elicitation findings into clear and concise business and functional requirements.
• Develop: User stories, Use cases, Software Requirements Specifications (SRS), Business requirements documentation, Wireframes, Mockups, Follow established templates and BA best practices, Ensure requirements are unambiguous, well-organized, traceable, and easily understood by technical and business stakeholders.
• Promote business analysis best practices across project teams.
• Mentor peers and colleagues on requirements development, documentation, and analysis techniques.
• Proactively identify and participate in relevant professional development and training opportunities.
• Effectively utilize tools such as Atlassian Jira and requirements management platforms to support project activities.
• Manage and track requirements throughout the SDLC.
• Participate in change control processes.
• Monitor and communicate requirements status to project stakeholders.
• Verify that implemented solutions fulfill documented requirements.
