Job summary

Verista, Cambridge, MA, seeks a Senior Business Analyst to translate scientific workflows into clear requirements for laboratory applications and to bridge laboratories with the technology platform. You will help scientists work efficiently and feed high-quality data into the enterprise data lakehouse.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience as a business analyst delivering scientific or lab applications for R&D scientists.
• Hands-on with entity registration, sample/inventory management, ELN, assay/method registration, instrument data capture, and automation.
• Experience moving instrument data to downstream systems and building scientist-friendly configurations.
• Domain experience in chemistry or biologics with data lakehouse familiarity.
• Strong communication and documentation skills; able to translate between scientists and tech.
• On-site in Cambridge, MA at least 3 days/week.

Responsibilities

• Elicit and document scientific and business requirements for lab applications.
• Lead workflow analysis for entity registration and sample/inventory management.
• Design ELN configurations, templates, and data capture supporting data lakehouse.
• Define data models and workflows for assay and method registration.
• Define requirements for automated instrument data capture and integration.
• Map current-state processes and identify automation opportunities.
• Translate needs into user stories and coordinate with developers and vendors.
• Coordinate UAT, training, adoption, and post-go-live support.
• Act as liaison between chemistry, biologics, IT, data, and platform teams.
