Job summary

East West Bank in California seeks a Senior Business Analyst to support Loan and/or Trade Operations with data analytics, process improvements, and system enhancements. You will liaison between end users and IT, manage medium- to large-scale projects, and contribute to User Acceptance Testing.

You will document procedures, train users, automate reports, and help ensure regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate has 5–7 years in banking, strong Excel and SQL skills, and experience with IBS

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, engineering, science or related fields or equivalent work experience.
• 5 to 7 years in banking, preferably in commercial and mortgage lending.
• Experience in process automation design and implementation.
• Excellent analytical skills with complex data analysis.
• Excellent written, verbal and comprehension communication skills required.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and collaborate across a complex organization.
• Advanced Excel and intermediate SQL skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct data analysis and ad hoc reports.
• Liaise between end users and IT/vendors to design solutions.
• Improve processes to boost efficiency and meet regulatory needs.
• Write system requirements and coordinate delivery.
• Design and execute user acceptance testing.
• Manage Loan and/or Trade Operations projects.
• Present insights and project updates to leadership.
• Train end users on new or upgraded systems.
• Identify data report automation opportunities.
• Support data quality improvements.
• Document procedures and guides for critical apps.
• Support junior analysts.
• Perform additional tasks as needed.
