Job summary

Tier4 Group is seeking a Senior Business Analyst in Boston to lead business and system analysis for complex technology initiatives. You will document requirements, perform gap analyses, and translate needs into actionable user stories and tasks.

The role interfaces with business leaders, PMs, and technical teams to ensure solutions align with objectives and are delivered on time. Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills are essential for multitasking across projects.

Qualifications

4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting technology projects.
Strong expertise in business process analysis, requirements gathering, and documentation.
Experience conducting stakeholder interviews, facilitating workshops, and translating business needs into technical requirements.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Experience optimizing and improving business processes.
Proven experience leading requirements-gathering sessions and developing user stories.
Working knowledge of SDLC processes and methodologies.
Experience in Agile (Scrum, Kanban) and Waterfall environments.
Ability to create BRDs, FRDs, use cases, and data mapping documentation.
Experience developing acceptance test plans and QA processes.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with stakeholders to research, analyze, and document business processes and requirements.
Utilize tools such as Jira,Visio, SharePoint, Power BI, and MS Office to support analysis.
Document current-state and future-state processes using UML and other modeling methods.
Translate business needs into functional requirements with solution teams.
Lead elicitation workshops and stakeholder meetings.
Create and maintain BRDs, FRDs, and functional specifications.
Develop user stories, process flows, and detailed system requirements.
Define UI/UX requirements with design teams.
Support QA activities throughout development and testing phases.
Develop test plans and acceptance criteria; execute tests as needed.
Analyze defects and coordinate resolutions with engineering teams.
Gather reporting and dashboard requirements for stakeholders.
Coordinate with project managers to meet milestones and deliverables.
Assist training and end-user adoption efforts.
