Job summary

The Department of Technology, Management and Budget (DTMB) in Michigan is seeking a senior IT Business Analyst to support MDHHS, Bureau of Laboratories, and related initiatives. Qualifications

• Possession of a Bachelor’s degree with 21 semester (32 term) credits in one or a combination of listed IT fields.
• Two years of professional experience equivalent to an Information Technology Infrastructure or Programmer/Analyst P11.
• Possession of an associate’s degree with 16 semester (24 term) credits in listed IT fields and two years of related experience; or substitution by two years of IT Student Assistant experience.
• Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school plus four years of IT-related experience may substitute for the education requirement.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior level Business Analyst supporting MDHHS and the Public Health Administration Bureau of Laboratories.
• Act as a technical consultant to MDHHS clients to develop solutions for streamlining critical business processes.
• Develop and maintain automated processes, ensure data integrity, and secure MDHHS systems.
• Participate in a variety of analytical assignments to enhance, integrate, maintain, and implement information systems.

Education

Bachelor’s degree with 21 semester credits in computer science, data processing, computer information systems, data communications, networking, systems analysis, computer programming, information assurance, IT project management or mathematics
