Job summary

Sony Interactive Entertainment is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to shape the future of PlayStation Store and Direct-to-Consumer initiatives. You will lead analysis for complex commercial projects, translating business needs into actionable requirements for Product, Engineering, Analytics, and Data Science teams.

You will collaborate with leaders to structure ambiguous problems, align stakeholders, and ensure solutions deliver measurable business value across regions and teams.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Business Analysis within digital commerce, subscriptions, retail or related fields.
• Demonstrated experience planning and leading business analysis for complex initiatives, managing multiple priorities and delivering measurable commercial or operational outcomes.
• Demonstrated experience partnering with Product, Engineering, Analytics and Data Science teams to design and deliver commerce products and supporting tools.
• Strong understanding of ecommerce customer journeys, commercial drivers and operational processes, with the ability to identify relevant dependencies and assess the likely impact of proposed solutions.
• Proven ability to engage business leaders and subject-matter experts, reconcile differing stakeholder needs and establish clear requirements where information is incomplete or priorities change.
• Demonstrated experience mapping and improving complex business processes, building the case for change and working with teams to implement and embed new ways of working.
• Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to explain complex issues clearly and support recommendations with commercial reasoning and evidence.
• Comfortable working across regions, time zones and cultures, with flexibility for international travel and varied working hours.

Responsibilities

• Translate complex business needs into clear, structured and testable business requirements that Product and Engineering teams can execute against.
• Remain engaged throughout design and development, resolving ambiguity and validating that the solution meets the original business need.
• Structure ambiguous problems, reconcile stakeholder needs and translate objectives into clear requirements and measurable outcomes.
• Collaborate across Business, Product, Engineering, Analytics and Data Science teams to resolve issues and manage dependencies.
• Assess how proposed products and changes affect customers and operations.
• Map current and future-state processes and identify opportunities for improvement or automation.
• Test hypotheses with Product/Analytics teams and build the case for change.
• Influence senior stakeholders with structured problem framing and commercial reasoning.
