Ascend Learning is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join the Enterprise Applications team. You will partner with business leaders to translate complex needs into data-driven solutions, leading end-to-end delivery of enterprise-scale data management and reporting.

This role blends strong business sense with technical data expertise to empower decision-making. The ideal candidate will be adept at untangling ambiguous asks, owning backlog delivery with a product manager, and mentoring teammates

Qualifications

• 6+ years researching, analyzing data from internal/external sources.
• Fluent in SQL and data structures; capable of reverse-engineering queries.
• Experience with cloud data platforms and BI tools (Snowflake, Tableau).

Responsibilities

• Own intake for business asks and translate to clearly stated problems.
• Write testable user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Profile source data to validate assumptions before handover.
• Collaborate with BI, Engineering, and Architecture on feasibility.
• Support UAT and ensure the solution solves the business problem.
• Mentor less experienced analysts in requirements gathering.
