Ascend Learning, in Burlington, MA, seeks a Senior Business Analyst to own end‑to‑end data management and reporting solutions within Enterprise Applications. You’ll partner with leaders and tech teams to translate complex needs into actionable data products, balancing priorities and delivering high‑quality outcomes.

You’ll demonstrate deep data expertise, mentor teammates, and guide acceptance testing while ensuring delivery aligns with business objectives across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• 6+ years of experience researching, analyzing, and leveraging data from internal and external resources.
• Experience with Snowflake and Tableau; familiarity with AI-assisted analytics tools is a bonus.
• Strong ability to translate ambiguous asks into clear requirements.

Responsibilities

• Own intake of business asks and frame them as clearly stated problems.
• Translate needs into testable user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Document context, metrics, and data sources in plain language.
• Reverse‑engineer SQL queries, Tableau/Power BI workbooks, and Excel models.
• Profile Snowflake data to validate structure and quality before handoff to Data Architect.
• Synthesize findings into rules for Architecture, Data Engineers, and BI Analysts.
• Develop early prototypes to validate stakeholder understanding.
• Lead day‑to‑day delivery and track progress against acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with BI, Engineering, and Architecture for feasibility and readiness.
• Support UAT and post-delivery issue resolution.
• Communicate with stakeholders professionally throughout the cycle.
• Mentor less experienced Analysts.
