Jobgether, on behalf of a partner company, seeks a Senior Business Analyst based in the United States to bridge business stakeholders and technical teams for Life and Annuities solutions.

You will translate complex needs into actionable requirements, lead discovery sessions, and guide design, testing, and implementation across policy administration and underwriting domains.

Competenze

• At least 5 years in an individual contributor Business Analyst role.
• At least 5 years in the Life and Annuities (L&A) insurance industry.
• Strong understanding of Life and Annuities insurance products (Whole Life, Term Life, Disability Income, Universal Life).
• Knowledge of policy administration, insurance illustrations, and underwriting processes.

The Senior Business Analyst will serve as a key link between business stakeholders and technical development teams, supporting the evolution of enterprise technology solutions within the Life and Annuities insurance sector. In this role, you will translate complex business needs into clear, sustainable, and consistent technical requirements across the Life insurance portfolio. You will collaborate with clients, business users, and engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle, from initial discovery and requirements gathering to implementation and validation. Leveraging your expertise in insurance products, policy administration, underwriting, and configurable enterprise platforms, you will help deliver effective technology solutions. The position also involves providing subject matter expertise, guiding business analysis activities, and ensuring alignment between business objectives and technical outcomes. Accountabilities

• Business and Technical Requirements Gathering: Lead and participate in requirements discovery sessions with clients, business users, and technical teams. Identify business needs for system integrations, updates, configurations, and enhancements, translating them into clear and actionable requirements.
• Functional Analysis and Documentation: Analyze business processes, system capabilities, and industry requirements to define project scope and objectives. Produce comprehensive functional design specifications and ensure requirements are sustainable, consistent, and aligned with long-term application lifecycle management.
• Business Analysis Leadership: Provide guidance and support to business analysis teams, acting as a subject matter expert on Life and Annuities insurance products and processes. Share industry knowledge and provide technical and functional leadership throughout client engagements.
• Stakeholder and Client Management: Maintain regular communication with clients, business stakeholders, and technical development teams. Facilitate discussions, coordinate priorities, manage scope changes, and ensure requirements remain aligned with evolving business objectives.
• Requirements Lifecycle Management: Track and manage requirements throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring they are properly prioritized, approved, documented, and updated when necessary. Coordinate adjustments and maintain alignment across all project stakeholders.
• Insurance Product and Underwriting Expertise: Provide guidance on underwriting practices, including manual and automated underwriting measures and processes. Evaluate insurance risks in relation to product characteristics and support the definition of appropriate business rules.
• System Configuration and Implementation: Support the initial configuration and setup of insurance plans, rules, and system tables. Work with configurable enterprise platforms to ensure system functionality reflects product definitions and operational requirements.
• Testing and Quality Assurance: Review test plans and perform testing of insurance software and technologies following development and configuration activities. Validate test cases, ensure comprehensive requirements coverage, and verify that implemented solutions meet defined business objectives.
• Requirements Quality Reviews: Facilitate and participate in team reviews of requirements documentation to ensure deliverables are complete, consistent, understandable, feasible, and compliant with established standards.
• Technical Problem Resolution: Support cross-functional teams in resolving system and implementation issues. Develop or implement system scripts and practical workarounds where appropriate to address identified technical challenges.
• Solution Validation: Analyze implemented solutions to confirm that business requirements and project objectives have been successfully achieved.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional experience in an individual contributor Business Analyst role, with preference given to candidates who have led client engagements or major project initiatives.
• At least 5 years of experience in the Life and Annuities (L&A) insurance industry is mandatory.
• Strong understanding of Life and Annuities insurance products, including Whole Life, Term Life, Disability Income, and Universal Life.
• Demonstrated knowledge of policy administration, insurance illustrations, and underwriting processes.
• Previous experience supporting insurance technology implementations, particularly Life and Health insurance solutions.
• Proven experience gathering, analyzing, documenting, and managing business and functional requirements.
• Experience working with configurable enterprise systems and supporting system integration, configuration, and implementation projects.
