Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Lead Technical Implementation Analyst based in the United States.

As a Lead Technical Implementation Analyst, you will provide strategic delivery leadership across multiple technical initiatives, internal business units, and external distribution partnerships. You will play a central role in translating complex business needs into clear, actionable technical requirements while ensuring successful project execution from discovery through final release. Working closely with engineering teams, business stakeholders, and external partners, you will oversee requirements gathering, delivery coordination, and user acceptance testing (UAT). You will also establish best practices, improve implementation processes, and mentor fellow analysts to strengthen team capabilities. With a focus on commercial insurance technology and API integrations, you will identify systemic challenges and drive solutions that support scalability and operational efficiency. This is an opportunity to combine hands-on technical expertise, strategic thinking, and cross-functional leadership in a fast-growing, fully remote environment.

Accountabilities:
  • Technical Delivery Leadership:

Lead requirements gathering and delivery coordination across a portfolio of concurrent initiatives involving multiple internal business units and external distribution partners, including Distribution API integrations and enhancements.

  • Requirements Management:

Establish, implement, and maintain high-quality standards for requirements documentation, ensuring engineering teams receive clear specifications, business context, acceptance criteria, and explicitly defined out-of-scope items.

  • Project Coordination:

Oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously, coordinating timelines, deliverables, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations to ensure projects progress efficiently from initial planning through final release.

  • Stakeholder Management:

Act as the primary point of contact for internal business teams, engineering stakeholders, and external distribution partners, ensuring consistent communication, alignment, and issue resolution throughout project delivery.

  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT):

Define and coordinate UAT activities, including test planning, execution, requirements traceability, defect triage, and documented acceptance to ensure solutions meet business expectations.

  • API & Integration Oversight:

Evaluate the impact of system and API changes on compatibility, downstream dependencies, partner workflows, and existing integrations, identifying potential risks and coordinating appropriate solutions.

  • Strategic Process Improvement:

Identify recurring operational and technical challenges across business units and recommend scalable, strategically aligned solutions that improve processes and delivery outcomes.

  • Standards & Best Practices:

Define and reinforce team-wide standards for requirements documentation, UAT execution, stakeholder communication, and delivery coordination to promote consistency and quality.

  • Team Mentorship & Development:

Mentor fellow analysts and project coordinators, support onboarding initiatives, and strengthen team capabilities through knowledge sharing, guidance, and development of testing and domain expertise.

  • Capacity & Prioritization:

Collaborate with leadership to evaluate team capacity, prioritize initiatives, manage competing demands, and ensure alignment across cross-functional teams.

  • Risk Management & Escalation:

Exercise sound judgment when evaluating project risks, identifying scope changes, managing dependencies, and escalating unresolved decisions when necessary.

  • Business & Technical Alignment:

Translate complex technical concepts into clear business language and communicate business requirements effectively to developers and technical teams.

  • AI & Performance Optimization:

Demonstrate practical use of AI tools to support requirements development, UAT, and software delivery while identifying relevant metrics to quantify project benefits and outcomes.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Work with business units including Revenue, Salesforce, Claims, Care and Payments, Compliance, and external distribution partners to ensure coordinated implementation and successful delivery.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, Insurance, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 6 years of experience in business analysis, product ownership, technical implementation, or delivery management roles.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional initiatives, managing project timelines, and coordinating multiple concurrent projects involving diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products, particularly small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) insurance, market dynamics, and operational workflows.
  • Technical background in software engineering, software testing, product management, product ownership, or related technical delivery disciplines, and/or strong familiarity with relevant business systems and processes.
  • Ability to develop engineering-ready requirements that include clear business context, acceptance criteria, dependencies, and explicitly defined scope boundaries.
  • Proven experience designing and coordinating UAT processes, including requirements traceability, test execution, defect management, and documented business acceptance.
  • Working knowledge of at least one relevant business domain, such as Salesforce-based revenue operations, claims management, billing and payments, compliance, distribution partner integrations, or Distribution APIs.
  • Practical experience using Jira, Confluence, APIs, and Postman.
  • Previous experience establishing requirements, testing, or stakeholder communication standards that have been adopted by other team members or departments.
  • Extensive experience mentoring analysts or project coordinators, influencing team roadmaps, and gaining support from senior executives and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of how APIs work and how distribution partnerships influence technical architecture and system design.
  • Demonstrated ability to use AI tools to improve requirements documentation, UAT processes, and development workflows.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify systemic issues, evaluate strategic solutions, and quantify project outcomes using relevant performance metrics.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to confidently bridge business and technical discussions between developers, business leaders, and external partners.
  • Strong organizational skills, curiosity, self-motivation, and a proactive ownership mentality.
  • Ability to identify and address scope creep early, manage competing priorities, and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment that requires adaptability, independent judgment, and collaborative problem-solving.
Preferred Qualifications:

Estimated annual compensation ranging from $120,000 to $150,000, depending on qualifications, relevant experience, education, certifications, and internal compensation considerations. Candidates with additional relevant experience may be considered for compensation above the midpoint.
