Job summary

Pega in the New England region (Waltham, MA) seeks a Senior Business/Reporting Analyst to partner with our global consulting organization and Operations. You will deliver financial reporting and analysis of consultant utilization, headcount, and profitability metrics, and you will lead projects pursuing strategic objectives.

You will design and deliver reporting using Excel, Power BI, and HANA-inspired systems, collaborating with senior leaders to drive efficiency and better decision-making

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience as a business/finance analyst.
• Experience with P&L data and multiple data sources.
• Experience presenting to senior leadership.
• Ability to own projects from inception to delivery.

Picture Yourself at Pega:

As a Senior Business/Reporting Analyst you will be a trusted business partner for Pega’s global consulting organization and key member of the Operations team. You will collaborate with the management team and deliver financial reporting and analysis of consultant utilization, headcount, and profitability-related metrics. You will also lead and collaborate on projects pursuing company-wide strategic objectives. You will own the data governance and provide oversight of all business processes and systems that support these metrics. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive productivity and efficiency of our business systems and reporting capabilities. The insights you deliver to the leadership team will provide key performance metrics and actionable findings required for the consulting business to meet its business objectives.

What You’ll Do at Pega:

• Apply qualitative and quantitative analysis to enterprise problems to develop insight and recommendations for Consulting leadership
• Manage and communicate P&L analytics including revenue, expenses, margin, utilization, headcount, for all Pega Consulting to drive profitability
• Provide monthly financial reporting and ad hoc reporting as needed
• Be a key member in the budget, planning & forecasting process
• Design, develop, and deliver reporting using Excel, Power BI, HANA, and other in-house systems to provide proactive analysis and insights to the business leadership
• Work with Consulting leadership community to research, advocate, and make recommendations on business process improvements to drive user adoption of our systems and processes
• Directly communicate with senior leadership about major profitability drivers
• Support, collaborate, and lead with Operations team on projects and initiatives as needed
• Collaborate with Operations team on reporting best practices

Who You Are:

• Superb problem solving and analytical skills paired with an attention to detail
• Ability to balance long term strategic projects with day-to-day operational responsibilities
• Experience blending quantitative analysis with qualitative analysis to deliver a complete look at a problem, subsequent analysis, and recommendations
• Skilled communicator; able convey ideas to technical stakeholders as well as senior leadership in person or in writing
• Must be resilient in the face of obstacles; possess the ability to adapt to changing circumstances

What You’ve Accomplished:

• 3-5 years of experience as a business analyst or finance analyst
• Experience dealing with profit and loss data, developing reporting and insights with multiple data sources, preferably in professional services or finance functions
• Worked with senior leadership to advise on the health of a business
• Proven ability to own projects from inception to delivery

Additional Information

Base salary range for this role is 84,200 - 125,800 USD annually. This role may also be eligible for annual bonus OR commission, as well as benefits and other incentives.
