Job summary

Pegasystems is seeking a Senior BI Analyst in Massachusetts to partner with our global consulting organization. You will design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards and semantic models, and own data governance across reporting and profitability metrics.

You will lead budgeting/forecasting initiatives, automate monthly financial reporting, and collaborate with senior leadership on opportunities to improve processes and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience as a BI/data/finance analyst building Power BI reporting.
• Experience delivering profit and loss analytics and KPI dashboards.
• Ability to partner with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards and semantic models for Consulting leadership.
• Manage and communicate P&L analytics in Power BI across revenue, expenses, margin, and headcount.
• Automate monthly and ad hoc financial reporting using Power BI datasets and paginated reports.
• Contribute to budgeting, planning and forecasting processes.
• Design and deliver reporting using Excel, Power BI, and HANA to inform leadership.
• Collaborate with leadership on process improvements and user adoption.
• Participate with Operations to share best practices in reporting.
• Communicate insights to senior leadership on major profitability drivers.

Picture Yourself At Pega

As a Senior BI Analyst you will be a trusted business partner for Pega’s global consulting organization and key member of the Operations team. You will collaborate with the management team to design, build, and maintain the Power BI reporting suite covering consultant utilization, headcount, and profitability-related metrics. You will also lead and collaborate on projects pursuing company-wide strategic objectives. You will own the data governance and provide oversight of all business processes and systems that support these metrics. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive productivity and efficiency of our business systems and reporting capabilities. The insights you deliver to the leadership team will provide key performance metrics and actionable findings required for the consulting business to meet its business objectives.

What You'll Do At Pega

• Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards and semantic models that give Consulting leadership a single source of truth
• Manage and communicate P&L analytics in Power BI including revenue, expenses, margin, utilization, headcount, for all Pega Consulting to drive profitability
• Automate monthly and ad hoc financial reporting through Power BI datasets, scheduled refreshes, and paginated reports
• Be a key member in the budget, planning & forecasting process
• Design, develop, and deliver reporting using Excel, Power BI, HANA, and other in-house systems to provide proactive analysis and insights to the business leadership
• Work with Consulting leadership community to research, advocate, and make recommendations on business process improvements to drive user adoption of our systems and processes
• Directly communicate with senior leadership about major profitability drivers
• Support, collaborate, and lead with Operations team on projects and initiatives as needed
• Collaborate with Operations team on reporting best practices

Who You Are

• Fluent in Power BI — you think in data models, DAX measures, and clean, executive-ready visual design
• Superb problem solving and analytical skills paired with an attention to detail
• Ability to balance long term strategic projects with day-to-day operational responsibilities
• Experience blending quantitative analysis with qualitative analysis to deliver a complete look at a problem, subsequent analysis, and recommendations
• Skilled communicator; able convey ideas to technical stakeholders as well as senior leadership in person or in writing
• Must be resilient in the face of obstacles; possess the ability to adapt to changing circumstances

What You've Accomplished

• 3-5 years of experience as a BI analyst, data analyst, or finance analyst building reporting in Power BI
• Built and maintained Power BI reporting on profit and loss data from multiple sources, preferably in professional services or finance functions
• Worked with senior leadership to advise on the health of a business
• Proven ability to own projects from inception to delivery

Additional Information

Base salary range for this role is 84,200 - 125,800 USD annually. This role may also be eligible for annual bonus OR commission, as well as benefits and other incentives.

The final compensation will be determined during the offer process based on the candidate's education, experience, skills, and qualifications, as well as market conditions and may vary from the posted range. We will share an information on benefits, bonus/commission, and other pay components for this role at the relevant recruitment stage.
