Job Title: Senior Business Analyst

End Client: Public Sector

Location: The primary place of performance is HYBRID, with 2-3 days per week at the Baltimore Office located at 201 West Preston Street, Baltimore, Maryland 21201, or a delegated satellite location.

Pay Rate: $47-$55/hr

Background:

The end customer needs a Senior Business Analyst to assist in driving multiple Major IT Development Projects over the next few years. The consultant will support the implementation efforts needed to complete current state assessments and workflow documentation, ensuring that business operations are clearly understood. You will play a critical role in supporting business teams, facility project teams, and external stakeholders by leveraging subject matter expertise to drive best practices and fulfill business requirements. The organization is embarking on modernization projects, including the implementation of case management systems across multiple areas. The technology landscape is complex, with many interdependencies requiring cross-functional work across projects and business units. Resources will typically be assigned to core project teams but may work on multiple projects based on workload and expertise.

The Senior Business Analyst acts as a bridge between business needs and technological solutions, responsible for collecting and defining requirements, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential for successful project outcomes.

Duties/Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with business leaders to inquire and clarify requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and technology solutions.
2. Review contracts for technical implications.
3. Complete exception and pre-approval documents as required.
4. Work with stakeholders and technical teams to craft effective solutions, including creating detailed functional specifications and use cases.
5. Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure clear communication and understanding of requirements.
6. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to propose innovative solutions and improve business processes.

Education:

• A bachelor's degree in business administration, information technology, or a related field.
• Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) is desirable.

General Experience:

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders.

Specialized Experience:

• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience as a Business Analyst.
• Profound knowledge of business analysis methodologies, tools, and techniques.
• Experience with requirements gathering, process modeling, and data analysis.
• Experience with business analysis tools and software (e.g., Visio, JIRA, Confluence).
• Proficiency with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
