Job summary

INNOCEAN USA is seeking a Senior Business Affairs Manager in Huntington Beach, CA, to join the Legal & Business Affairs team. This long-term, on-going freelance role offers hybrid work with local on-site days and competitive benefits.

You will oversee production, contracting, licensing, and risk management for a diverse client roster. You will work with account teams to scope and screen potential legal issues, negotiate talent agreements, and ensure licensing compliance across digital content

Qualifications

• 8+ years related experience in advertising or commercial production.
• Strong knowledge of copyright, trademark, and licensing in entertainment/advertising law.
• Experience reviewing licenses/clearances and negotiating talent agreements, SAG-related contracts.

Responsibilities

• Handle talent contracting and estimating for commercial productions, including SAG contracts.
• Negotiate celebrity/influencer overscale talent agreements.
• Review creative for necessary clearances or licenses.
• Handle third-party clearances: stock footage, music, rights, props.
• Prepare production estimates with breakdowns and producer input.
• Issue purchase orders and manage invoice approvals and payments.
• Create production startup documents and insurance/talent requirements.
• Negotiate production agreements and resolve liabilities.
• Collaborate with account teams to identify liability issues and solutions.
