Job summary

Smart & Final seeks an Assistant Vice President of Bus Operations to lead terminal transportation and maintenance, scheduling staff and drivers, and overseeing fare revenue handling. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in a relevant field or substantial transportation management experience.
• Minimum five years in supervisory roles within transportation/maintenance and scheduling.
• CDL with required endorsements to obtain within 30 days of appointment.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise daily transit and maintenance activities at the terminal.
• Oversee vault operations for secure handling of fare revenues.
• Supervise administrative staff and frontline supervisors.
• Schedule and train dispatchers, road supervisors and maintenance supervisors.
• Counsel division staff and manage disciplinary actions as needed.
• Represent the Authority in grievance meetings and assist budgeting and inquiries.
