Job summary

Moore Industries in Baton Rouge, LA seeks a Buildings Project Manager to lead industrial and commercial building projects from preconstruction through closeout. You will coordinate multi-discipline teams, manage budgets and schedules, and ensure safety, quality, and client satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has lump-sum project experience, plus design-build or design-assist delivery familiarity. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential for success in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• Experience managing lump-sum construction projects is strongly preferred.
• Experience with design-build and/or design-assist delivery preferred.
• Strong understanding of building construction methods, sequencing, subcontractor coordination, and multidisciplinary construction.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and technical documents.

Responsibilities

• Manage building projects from preconstruction to closeout.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, design partners, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
• Lead project planning with Superintendent to set execution strategies and milestones.
• Manage budgets, cost projections, change management, billings, and financial performance.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and implement recovery strategies as needed.
• Coordinate architecture, structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection disciplines.
• Lead design coordination on design-build/design-assist projects and conduct constructability reviews.
• Review drawings, specs, contracts, and subcontract documents for scope and contractual requirements.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, scope development, buyout, performance and change management.
• Lead project meetings and communicate schedule, cost, quality, safety, procurement, and design issues.
• Identify risks early and develop mitigations to protect project performance.
• Support field leadership with information, resources, and decisions to maintain production.
• Maintain project documentation, reporting, forecasting, and closeout records.
