Job summary

WSP is seeking a senior Building Technology Systems Lead Consultant to manage and deliver complex BTS projects across Brentwood, Knoxville or Dallas offices. You will guide a team of consultants through design, documentation, and construction phases, coordinating with clients, architects, and vendors.

The role requires strong BTS design experience, leadership, and the ability to market capabilities while maintaining high-quality deliverables and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in engineering or related field; technical design experience for buildings.
• RCDD cert is required for communications systems subject matter expert.
• 7–10+ years designing high-performance BTS in US Federal/AEC sectors.
• Proven BTS team leadership and ability to deliver projects end-to-end.
• Ability to market capabilities, win work, and manage a consulting team.
• US security clearance ability is required.
• Other certs (ASIS PSP, AVIXA CTS/DI, Cisco CCNA, etc.) a plus.
• Experience designing Electronic Security Systems and Data Networks is desirable.
• Strong communication skills with clients and teams; proficient with Revit and Bluebeam.

Responsibilities

• Lead a BTS team of consultants from inception to completion.
• Design telecommunications and security systems and document construction standards.
• Coordinate with clients, owners, architects, and vendors to gather requirements.
• Manage project budgets, resources, and construction administration duties.
• Host and participate in meetings; respond to submittals and RFIs.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, IBC, NFPA, BICSI, EIA/TIA standards.
