The Medical University of South Carolina seeks a skilled maintenance technician to monitor, repair, and service hospital specialty systems, ensuring safety and environmental control. You will work rotating on-call shifts, weekends, and be considered essential during disasters.

Knowledge of air compressors, pumps, and fire protection systems is required. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and maintaining detailed logs.

Qualifications

• Minimum Requirements: a high school diploma and three years trade experience directly related to the area of employment.
• Some positions require a commercial driver’s license (CDL).
• Some positions require EPA-approved Freon recovery certification.

Responsabilités

• Maintain PPE and report unsafe situations immediately.
• Respond to trouble calls and document activities including parts used.
• Perform routine maintenance on specialty systems per Facility Management procedures.
• Daily equipment checks on compressors, pumps, water heaters and purification systems.
• Work emergency after hours and weekends as needed.
