Job summary

Atlas is seeking an experienced Building Systems Inspector to support a major water infrastructure project. The role focuses on quality control of structural and envelope systems, with oversight from foundation through final completion, based on project drawings, specs and IBC standards.

The candidate will coordinate with certified testing personnel, review shop drawings, and maintain thorough daily inspection reports on site in Gresham, OR.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of building/structural inspection experience on commercial, industrial, or heavy civil projects.
• Ability to read structural drawings, architectural plans, shop drawings, and specifications.
• Working knowledge of the International Building Code (IBC) and structural standards.
• Experience documenting inspections and deficiencies using construction management software.
• 100% onsite presence at Bull Run Filtration Facility (Gresham, OR) and ability to pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections of building and structural systems (concrete, steel, masonry, framing) and envelope components.
• Verify compliance with drawings, specs, and applicable codes (IBC).
• Review shop drawings to understand inspection criteria and hold points.
• Coordinate with testing personnel for structural steel, welding, and concrete testing verified.
• Maintain daily inspection reports with photographic documentation and issue punch lists as needed.
