Job summary

Atlas is seeking an experienced Building Systems Inspector to support the Bull Run Filtration Facility project. The role focuses on quality control of building systems, envelope, and embedded utilities in a heavy civil setting near Portland, OR, with 100% onsite work.

The ideal candidate has 5–8 years of inspection experience, can read complex drawings, and understands IBC and structural standards. Certification and strong documentation skills are valued.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of building/structural inspection on commercial, industrial, or heavy civil projects.
• Experience inspecting reinforced concrete, structural steel, masonry, and framing systems.
• Ability to read and interpret structural drawings, architectural plans, shop drawings, and specs.
• Working knowledge of IBC and related structural standards.
• Experience documenting inspections using construction management software.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections of building and structural systems including foundations, framing, envelope, and finishes.
• Verify compliance with drawings, specifications, and codes.
• Review shop drawings and coordinate with testing personnel.
• Conduct pre-pour, pre-erection, and pre-installation inspections.
• Maintain daily inspection reports with photos and support punch lists.
