Job summary

Atlas is seeking an experienced Building Systems Inspector to support the Bull Run Filtration Facility project. The role requires comprehensive QC inspections of structural systems, building envelopes, and embedded utilities to ensure compliance with project documents and codes, reporting to the Atlas Quality Control Supervisor.

The ideal candidate will have 5–8 years of on-site building/structural inspection experience, strong reading of drawings, and knowledge of IBC/standards.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of building/structural inspection on commercial, industrial or heavy civil projects.
• Experience inspecting reinforced concrete, structural steel, masonry and framing systems.
• Able to read and interpret structural drawings, architectural plans, shop drawings and specs.
• Working knowledge of IBC and structural standards.
• Experience documenting inspections using construction management software.
• Onsite full-time work in an active heavy civil/industrial construction environment.
• Preferred: Oregon Inspector Certification (OIC) or ICC certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections of building and structural systems (concrete foundations, walls, slabs, structural components).
• Verify compliance with drawings, specs and local/state codes (IBC and related standards).
• Review shop drawings to understand inspection criteria and hold points.
• Coordinate with certified testing personnel for structural steel, welding and concrete testing.
• Conduct pre-pour, pre-erection and pre-installation inspections.
• Inspect building envelope installations for weatherproofing and system integration.
• Identify non-conforming work and track corrective actions.
• Maintain daily inspection reports with photographic documentation.
• Support punch list development and final turnover documentation.
• Coordinate with Mechanical and Electrical Inspectors to ensure full building systems integration.
