Job summary

Insight Global in Baltimore is seeking a Lead Building Engineer to perform complex preventive maintenance and repairs of building systems, equipment, and grounds. You will monitor operations, prioritize tasks, and ensure facilities run at peak performance under limited supervision.

The role requires 5–8+ years of building maintenance experience, strong knowledge of HVAC, boilers, and energy management, and any trades certifications or Journeyman licensure.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of building maintenance experience.
• Experience operating and maintaining HVAC, boilers, pumps, and refrigerant systems.
• Knowledge of energy management systems and operations.
• Journeyman level licensure or other trades certifications.

Responsibilities

• Review daily work orders and assign tasks.
• Oversee and inspect work by engineering staff.
• Inspect building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing.
• Estimate time and materials for repairs; manage supplies.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance with Chief Engineer or Property Manager.
• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance; maintain records.
• Maintain energy management program to minimize operating costs.
