Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking an Assistant Chief Engineer in Baltimore, MD. You will oversee building systems, lead maintenance programs, and support client satisfaction in a facilities operations team.

The candidate should have a Maryland Stationary Engineer License (Grade 3+), 7+ years in building engineering, and strong leadership and communication skills to coordinate contractors and drive service excellence.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in building engineering or facilities maintenance.
• Maryland Stationary Engineer License (Grade 3 or higher) required.
• Experience with HVAC, boilers, plumbing and electrical systems.
• Proficient with MS Office and CMMS systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safe, efficient operation of building systems including HVAC, boilers, plumbing and electricals.
• Perform preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance with documented plans.
• Respond to emergencies and troubleshoot equipment issues promptly.
• Supervise contractors and vendors conducting onsite services.
• Collaborate with clients and management on safety, operations and training.
